HM Revenue & Customs

HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) was formed on the 18 April 2005, following the merger of Inland Revenue and HM Customs and Excise Departments. They ensure the correct tax is paid at the right time, whether this relates to payment of taxes received by the department or entitlement to benefits paid.

The Charity Commission for England and Wales

The Charity Commission registers and regulates charities in England and Wales. They offer advice and provide a wide range of services and guidance to help them run as effectively as possible. They also keep the online Register of Charities, which provides information about each of the thousands of registered charities in England and Wales.
